Fall Style Inspiration: Boots

Fall officially starts tomorrow and that means we can all start wearing our favorite cozy sweaters and jeans without feeling like we're cheating on summer (did anyone else feel that or was that just me?)! This season, I'm on the hunt for the perfect boot and I'm taking inspiration from Pinterest (where else?) to round up some of my favorites! Comment below which ones are your favorite!

Proclamation Night

So one of the unique things about the University of Richmond I go to is that there's a women's college within the typical college structure. So basically it's a community in a community where you can get both the benefits of a small women's college while also being a part of a larger co-ed school...you're basically getting the best of both worlds.

Last year was the 100th anniversary of Westhampton College and I am so proud to be a part of this amazing group of women! Last night was Proclamation Night, one of our oldest traditions! The seniors and freshman get together as a welcome for us newbies and an early farewell to the seniors! Us freshman wore all white, carried daisies (school emblem), and wrote letters to our future selves. The seniors got to read the letters they wrote to themselves almost 4 years ago and it made me emotional just to see them getting so emotional!

These are just a few of the pictures I got from last night but don't worry I'll be sure to keep sharing more of my college experience with you guys on blog! And if you have any questions about the University of Richmond please don't hesitate to ask!

NYFW Street Style

If you've been on Instagram in the past week you know that NYFW has been in full force! Aside from seeing all the pictures of the newest collections, the street style has to be my favorite part! These are some of my favorite looks:

Love the color of this dress!                                                             I will totally be using this as inspo for fall!

You can never go wrong with all white!

Pink, plaid, and perfect!                                                            So fun and so girly!

Fall Favorites

fall faves

It's just starting to feel like fall in Virginia and today was actually the first day I needed to take a jacket to class! But I'm not complaining because fall fashion is basically everyone's favorite...including me!

On a side note, I want to hear from you! Are there any posts that you are interested in seeing on Belle Adore? Fashion, college, beauty, you name it! Leave a comment below or tweet me with your thoughts!

1. Striped Tee - Your summer striped tees are the perfect transition pieces into fall! They look cute and go with almost anything!

2. Chic Water Bottle - After losing my water bottle somewhere on campus, I've been eyeing this super cute Swell bottle! I've heard such great things so I might just have to give it a try! Do you have a Swell (and do you like it?!)?

3. Backpack - My backpack basically goes everywhere with me on campus but I love this cute alternative to the typical sporty looking ones! I mean it's just so chic!

4. Foldable Flats - I picked these up at the boutique I work at just before leaving for college and I've been loving them! They cute and easy to wear and you can fold them up and keep them in your bag when you want to change into something more comfortable!

5. Army Jacket - I have the J.Crew field jacket (so does everyone else) but I love this longer, simpler jacket for fall too!

6. Purple Lip Stain - Fall means dark lipsticks and I'm ok with that! This is a lip stain that doubles as a blush and the purple hue is so gorgeous!

7. Cape Scarf - I saw this on Madewell's new arrivals and almost died...seriously it's just so cute!

8. Black Booties -   These booties are the perfect height and at the perfect price! Yes, they are rain boots but I would wear them with almost anything when the temps cool down!

College Update

Apologies for the silence on the blog for the last week but I'm proud to say that I have officially survived my first week of college!! If you follow my snapchat (@belleadore), you might have seen some snaps from move-in day or around my campus but if not, I'm hoping to start blogging/Instagramming a bit more in the next couple of weeks! The adjustment to college life has been an interesting one and as much as I wanted to, it was hard to find time to sit down and write a blog post! As I'm writing this, I am actually waiting outside the classroom for my class to start! Anyway, I thought I would update you guys on a few things I've realized in the past two weeks I've been here!

1. You're Not the Only One - when I first got here, I was super worried about not being able to make friends - especially since I was the only one from my high school to come here! During orientation I realized that basically everyone was feeling the same way - jittery, nervous, and kind of awkward. All it took was going up to the person in your group and start talking to them! I've made friends from my orientation group that I see everyday and that I know we'll be friends for a while (hopefully, haha)!

2. Personalize your Room - when you have to deal with living  in a tiny dorm room every night, it only makes sense to make it your own! Hanging up pictures with friends/family, decorating with things from my old room, and just keeping it cozy makes it easier to adjust to the new living situation!

3.  Try New Things - this one is basically self explanatory - but if there is one time or place where you should take advantage of the opportunities in front of you - its college!

4. Make the Most of any Situation - so there was a bit of a mix-up with my roommate situation and I ended up not being able to room with the girl that I had originally planned on! Even though I see her/talk to her almost every day it was still upsetting when plans fall through. Long story short - even though my roommate situation is not what I wish it was...it might actually be working out for the best!

5. Its a Small World - Of all the colleges that I could have ended up at, I somehow found myself at a school with multiple bloggers! I've actually ran into a few people who follow me on Instagram too...like whaaat?! Also, shoutout to Meredith for being the sweetest girl on campus and making this transition easier!

Thanks for reading! If you have any questions about my school or the college process feel free to comment below, email me (belleadoreblogs@gmail.com), or tweet me!
