Proclamation Night

So one of the unique things about the University of Richmond I go to is that there's a women's college within the typical college structure. So basically it's a community in a community where you can get both the benefits of a small women's college while also being a part of a larger co-ed're basically getting the best of both worlds.

Last year was the 100th anniversary of Westhampton College and I am so proud to be a part of this amazing group of women! Last night was Proclamation Night, one of our oldest traditions! The seniors and freshman get together as a welcome for us newbies and an early farewell to the seniors! Us freshman wore all white, carried daisies (school emblem), and wrote letters to our future selves. The seniors got to read the letters they wrote to themselves almost 4 years ago and it made me emotional just to see them getting so emotional!

These are just a few of the pictures I got from last night but don't worry I'll be sure to keep sharing more of my college experience with you guys on blog! And if you have any questions about the University of Richmond please don't hesitate to ask!

  1. Oh how I miss my college days. I graduated a couple years ago and college is definitely way more fun than working. Everyone looks amazing in your pictures.
