First Fridays in RVA

This past Friday, my friends and I decided to something a little different than what a typical college Friday night might look like! My bestie Ashlee and I started the afternoon with (what should have been) a quick trip to Sephora! We ended up doing a little window shopping in Kate Spade because we all know its impossible to walk by the store without going in. We both were obsessing over these heels!
How cute are these pillow?! I need them in my dorm:)

A quick cupcake stop was a must! Also, I saw Julia's snapchat the other day and she was in this sweater so of course I had to get it - it was only $12!
On the first friday of every month, Downtown Richmond has something called 'First Friday'! All the art galleries are open and theres so much fun things to do! After we had dinner, we went to find the first gallery and the first place we stopped at was actually a fashion show from a designer at VCU! It was so hipster-y and cool!

We got to see a live band playing traditional folk music, a student artist live painting a portrait, and explored a vintage thrift store with individual artists selling their work!

Our last stop was at the Quirk Hotel . It's a new addition to Richmond and by far one of the chicest, coolest places around! The vibe you get as soon as you walk in is fantastic and interior decorating is so unique!
The hotel had a small art installation and a small shop that was selling the cutest knick knacks as well original art and jewelry from local artists!

So cute!

#bathroomgoals am I right?
When there's a 'Love and Happiness' room you can't help but smile!

We found our way to the rooftop of the hotel and I got to snap this cool picture of the city!

The one and only Monogrammed Meredith!

I'm looking forward to more First Friday in downtown Richmond! Do I have any RVA readers out there? If so, have you been to a first friday!?

  1. This sounds like such a fun way to spend a Friday night! I'm a senior at James Madison University and plan on moving to Richmond with my boyfriend in the next year or so. I might have to make a day trip for the next First Friday!

P.S. I've been following along on Insta, but clicked over to your blog tonight. I'm so glad I did - it's too cute!
