Beauty Favorites + Wishlist

I've been totally obsessed with watching beauty tutorials lately (thanks Rachel)  and I think that's the reason why I've been making a few Sephora purchases lately (oops)! I've fallen in  love with some of these new products and I definitely think they've made great additions to my beauty regime. So lets get started with the reviews! The ones with a * are the ones on my wishlist - just click the '+' on the pictures to shop!

  1. Mario Badescu Facial Spray - I bought this on a whim when I was at Ulta because they were having a sale and I'm halfway through the bottle. I use it as a setting spray after I finish makeup or for a bit of hydration during the day.
  2. *Laura Mercier Foundation - I just finished my tube of Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and I'm curious to try the foundation! I've heard only good things so I think this will be my next Sephora purchase.
  3. First Aid Beauty Mattifying Gel - I recently tried a sample of this and loved how my makeup looked that day! I have oily/combination skin and this had a great mattifying effect!
  4. Benefit Hoola Bronzer - This was my most recent purchases from the sale that Sephora was having! I'm in desperate need of a tan but this has been giving me a great everyday bronz=y look!
  5. Tarte CC Under Eye Corrector - For anyone with dark under eye areas, this product is a life saver! I use it as a primer for my concealer and it really helps combat the blue-ish tone that concealers don't always cover.
  6. Kiehl's Creme de Corps - If you are in need of a great everyday body lotion this is a great one to try! I'm almost finished with the bottle I have but am definitely considering repurchasing because it isn't greasy and doesn't have an overwhelming smell.
  7. Mario Badescu Drying Lotion - This was another purchase from the sale and I love it! You put a bit of the mixture on any zits you have and it dries it up overnight. I also saw Kylie Jenner use this on her snapchat and I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a factor in my purchase.
  8. Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate - This was another sample that I tried and want to purchase! I've heard how great oils are for your skin and I was hesitant to try it since my skin is pretty oily but I woke up the next day with super soft skin!
  9. *First Aid Beauty Eye Cream - It's never too early to start using eye cream, right?! This one has super cute packaging so what's not to like?
  10. Nyx Butter Gloss - This is one of the best affordable lip products I've tried! It's only $5! They go on super soft and 'buttery' (very fitting title) and aren't sticky at all!
  11. *Tarte BB Cream - With warmer weather right around the corner I want to cut back on the amount of foundation I use! Taste is one of my favorite brands and I'm thinking about purchasing this soon!
  12. Buxom Gloss - I can't be the only one who falls for pretty packaging right? Ulta had a huge display for these glosses because they have over 100 shades! I mean how can you choose just one!
  13. Makeup Forever Primer - If you need a heavy duty primer, try this one! You only need the teeniest bit because a little goes a long way.

Instagram Roundup

Recently on Instagram...

I shared this outfit post on  Instagram this Monday and I'm already wanting to wear this look again! I love the white on white (on white) and I tried the choker trend with this cute one the Etsy shop, SuziStrandz! What do we think of the look?

This past Sunday I had the most delicious brunch at The Continental in Richmond. I ordered the French toast and its safe to say they were one of the best ones I've had! My friend Ashlee ended up helping me finish the plate even though we were both so full...we didn't want such delicious breakfast go to waste.

I couldn't ask for a prettier view on my way to class! Thanks Richmond for being so Instagram worthy:)
Did you check out last week's outfit post? I'm loving how warm the weather is getting so I can pull out pretty tops like this one!

Weekend Links

TGIF guys! This week was a busy one and I'm just happy that the weekend is finally here! I successfully registered for all my classes for the fall semester of my sophomore year (still not over this), did better than I thought I would on a Macro test, passed my fraternal exam, and today is the final round of interviews to finally become an initiated member of AKPsi (wish me luck!).

One // One of my friends sent me this article and I found it to be SO true! I have spoken to some Richmond alumni who currently work at Lilly P. and they told me more about how the company revamped their social media presence and marketing tactics. So interesting!

Two // This weekend was Pig Roast! It's a Richmond tradition and one of the funnest days of the year! Meredith wrote all about it!

Three // Carly and Julia and #friendgoals! I'm following along with their NYC adventures through snapchat!

Four // This is all you could want in a palette and more! I love Benefit and have had both the 'Hoola' bronzer and the 'Dandelion' blush in my shopping cart for a while but now I'm SO tempted to get this!

Five // I think I've been following Caroline on Instagram for a while now but I just recently visited her blog page! I'm obsessed! Her style is so sophisticated, polished, and feminine! Not to mention she designs some of her own pieces!

Springtime Casual

Happy Monday! This weekend was so great, filled with good friends, good food, and the best memories (I'll be sure to share some pictures soon)! I'm sharing an outfit that I wore when I was home for the Easter weekend, shot by my sister Rachel. I love the look of this flowy white top and I recently bought a few similar tops that I can't wait to pull out when the weather gets warmer! I have the products I'm wearing, plus some similar ones, linked below and be sure to leave a comment below on your favorite spring trend!

Unfortunately, I bought this bag on a sale from a company that went out of business and wasn't able to find a similar one.
