Seattle, Washington

I know it's been a while since my last fashion/shopping related post but I couldn't not share these pictures with you! Hopefully you already got a chance to read my post from the first half of my recent trip ( if you haven't you can read it here) and as promised today I'm sharing all the pictures from my short time in Seattle, Washington.

The whole reason we took the trip was to visit my bother who has been interning at Google for the summer! Once we got to his apartment, we headed out to the Fremont neighborhood (or the self proclaimed 'center of the universe' as they call it) for some brunch at Silence Heart Nest. We walked around the area checking out tons of fun boutiques and vintage shops before getting a tour of his office.

Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to get any more pictures of inside the Google offices but let me just say that it looks like the absolute coolest place to work... think ping pong tables around the corner from your office, fully functioning gym facilities on the first floor, places for your dogs (which you can bring to work), and about a dozen different micro kitchens throughout the entire space!

Of course, being first time visitors to the city, the Space Needle was our next destination! It was cool to actually see it in person and not just in Grey's Anatomy episodes.

To finish off our first day, we went downtown to Pike Place Market. We saw the first Starbucks store (it had a line down the street so we passed on that) stopped for fresh flowers, picked up a few sweet treats from vendors, and just explored this fun little area of the city that's right by the water! We had dinner at Wild Ginger followed by the most delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Royal!

We started the next day bright and early to make our way to Granite Mountain where we would spend the day hiking. As a first time hiker, I was very proud of myself for making it up the 9 miles and almost 6,000 ft elevation!! We were slightly underprepared for the drastic climate change that took place the closer you got to the top but even so, we pushed through the snowy and icy parts and finally made it to the highest point where we were greeted by some lovely park rangers.

It was so foggy on our way up so we were worried we wouldn't be able to see the views but as soon as we started our treck back down, the fog cleared out and we had an absolute perfect view!!

We were all blown away by the beauty of the landscape and the intensity of the mountain we had just climbed...I mean how could you not be?!

I hope you enjoyed reading all about my trip! Add me on Snapchat and Instagram (@belleadore) so you don't miss out on any future adventures!
