A Life Update

Hi friends! I know it's been a little bit since my last post but there's no denying that this can be just a busy time during the semester. I seriously can't even believe that Spring Break starts on Thursday - and once we get back there's only six more weeks until the semester! Since it has been a while since I last talked to you guys, I figured I would just give you a brief update on what's going on with me!

1. Like I mentioned, Spring Break starts on Thursday for me and I will be going to MONTREAL with one of my best friends, Julia! I'm not exactly sure how we decided on Montreal but we are both still SO excited to go! We're meeting up with  some of Julia's friends and spending our time exploring the city! From what I hear, there's a ton of French influence so I already know I'm going to love it! If you have any recommendations for things to do/see/eat in Montreal...please let me know in the comments!

2. On Friday, I had the absolute pleasure of job shadowing a University of Richmond alumna at Tuckernuck! They are one of my favorite brands - I would honestly wear everything they have on their site! It was so amazing and inspiring to see all the hard work and team work that goes on to make such a great company like Tuckernuck possible! If you haven't checked them out, I recommend that you do! I just ordered these  adorable sunnies!

3. In other exciting news, I recently found out that I am going to be studying abroad in the Netherlands next semester! I am SO excited about studying abroad and despite all the nerves that I already have, I really think I'm going to have an amazing time!

4. The picture from above is from when my friend  Lauren and I met up with a another Richmond blogger,  Stephanie of She Saw Style. One of the best things about blogging is definitely getting to meet all the blog/instagram friends IRL. We had so much to talk about and it was great to hear different perspectives about blogging and networking!

5. As you may know, I do blogging for a local boutique in RVA,  Mod&Soul! I've posting over there about spring styles and new arrivals that are in store! One of my personal favorites is  this off the shoulder top!

What are your Spring Break Plans? Let me know in the comments!

Design Inspo

Last week's  post (inside the gorgeous  Quirk Hotel) gave me some major interior inspiration so when I found this amazing velvet couch on  Furniture.com I knew I had to share my ideal room with all of you on the blog! I definitely have a love for interior design, but unfortunately my dorm room isn't really the best place to explore that creative side. Next year I will hopefully be living in an apartment and I already know that pink will be one of the reoccurring colors throughout the space. I absolutely love a clean and minimalistic design with a few pops of color!

This  pink velvet tufted couch would definitely be my dream piece of furniture - I mean does it get any cuter?? Going along with the theme, I think this pink rug would look adorable in any space! I decided to accent with some gold pieces, like this gold and marble  coffee table, this  amazing floor lamp, and a  gorgeous gold mirror. Of course I had to decorate with my favorite  ginger jar prints!

This would definitely by a design for my 'dream home' but I had so much fun creating this! What would you put in your dream room?

An Afternoon at Quirk Hotel

One of my absolute favorite places in Richmond is the Quirk Hotel. I already talked about my love for this place on the blog before, but I always have the best time whenever I go. One weekend, my blogging bestie Lauren and I decided to head downtown to grab a coffee at the Quirk cafe and take some pictures. We are both so in love with the entire of the hotel… I mean who wouldn’t love an entirely pink and white hotel?!

These 'fuel the love' cups make for the perfect Instagram shot!

Now I'm determined to have a pink couch in my first apartment!

I picked up these fun multicolored  flats from the boutique I work at when I'm home and I am SO obsessed with them! I couldn't find the exact same pair but here is a very similar one!

This outfit has quickly become my go-to for a put together put laid back look! I picked up this top at a local Richmond boutique for an amazing price and love it! It kind of reminds me of a pajama top but I’m totally ok with that! I pair it with jeans, my crossbody, and pair of cute flats for an instantly chic but comfortable look! The weather in Richmond has been all over the place and since I hate wearing heavy coats, this super cute trench has been what I’ve been reaching for.

POPSUGAR Must Have Box

Happy Wednesday everyone! Does anyone else feel like the weeks are just flying by? It seems like the semester just started and now I'm already trying to plan a Spring Break trip!

I recently received POPSUGAR's January Must Have box and let me tell you, it was a good one! POPSUGAR's Must Have box is a monthly lifestyle subscription box for women and usually contains a mix of beauty, home, food,  and fashion products. January's box was all about starting the year off fresh and the products were definitely a help!

Before I get started on what came inside, I wanted to let you know that you can get $5 off your first box with the code MUSTHAVE5

1. eQua Yoga Mat - to kick things off, the box contained this yoga mat towel. While I don't do yoga that often, I do occasionally pop into one of the classes we have at school. I always struggle with my hands slipping off the mat so I will definitely be getting good use out of this!

2. Happy Notes - These were a cute little surprise! They're stick notes with different happy phrases on them. Sometimes I'll put them in my planner for a mid-week pick me up!

3. Glade Candle - I was definitely surprised to see a Glade candle in here but I actually love the smell! It's coconut beachwood and gives a light and sweet aroma when you burn it. If you take off the sticker, the jar actually looks really chic so you can leave it out!

4. Hair Towel - I have actually never used a hair towel like this so it was interesting to try to figure out how to put it on (my roommate has a few embarrassing pics of my failed attempts, lol) but overall, I will definitely be using this more frequently.

5. Goldfaden Face Mask - This was the main item in the box because it is valued at around $85! I love using face masks (I do one about 3 times a week) but I've never used a lactic acid one so I was excited to try this one! It helps to minimize the appearance of pores and give your face an overall smoothness.

6. Peppermint Tea - I have a cup of peppermint tea almost every night so this was one of my favorite products in the box! It's a loose tea so you will need an infuser!

7. Desk Calendar - I love this desk calendar! The May Design prints are so cute and you can actually cut up the monthly cards and use them as stationary!

This box had a retail value of around $190 which is amazing for just $39 a month! Don't forget to use the code SHOP5 for $5 off your first box!

This box was gifted to me for the purpose of reviewing on my blog but as always, all opinions are my own!

Friday Finds

- I received this  wallet as a Christmas gift and just realized that I've never posted about it on the blog! I've heard such great things about  Cuyana and now I'm totally hooked! I absolutely love  this wallet ! It is a super soft, pebbled leather with a deep red interior. And the gold monogram might be my favorite part...so simple and elegant! This

- I am so excited for tonight because  Neely&Chloe is hosting a trunk show in Richmond! I have been following them since before they re-branded and they continue to impress me with their products! They actually just held a trunk show with one of my  favorite bloggers and her  pictures of the event were gorgeous! I'm going with some friends and we're excited to see the products and meet Neely and Chloe!

- If you read the blog then you know that I'm a huge  Glossier fan! I swear by their products and love being a brand rep for them! My favorite product is probably the boy brow - I use it almost everyday!  Glossier just launched the  boy brow in clear so if you just want to give a little shape and definition to your brows but no pigment then you will love  this!

- A consultant from  Beauty Counter generously sent me a few sample of the brand's best sellers and I have been having fun trying them out! This  cream blush and  lip conditioner were definitely my favorites out of everything. My favorite thing about the brand is that their products are all safe and natural!

- In other exciting news, I recently applied to study abroad next fall semester and I am so excited to find out if I got into the program. I don't want to jinx anything so I won't share where I applied until I know for sure! 7 months seems like a long time from now but I'm already SO excited for next semester! I keep thinking about when I  visited my best friend who was studying abroad in London!
